Extension Summary

The Extension Summary report provides summary information on call activity by the extension. It lists each extension, the count, duration and cost of all calls attributable to that extension and breaks down total usage into subtotals for inbound, local, long distance and other call types. This summary provides a useful and effective means to spot extensions responsible for very high or very low usage.

Formatting Options

Required Constraints Tab

At the Required Constraints tab of the Execute/Define Reports screen, specify the date and time settings for the report.

Additional Constraints Tab

At the Additional Constraints tab, the default constraints for an Extension Summary report are:

Extension
Abandoned

Click the Add Additional Constraints list box to include more constraints in your search criteria.

Options Tab

At the Options tab, the options available will not be the same from one report type to another. Only those options that apply to the selected report will appear. The options available with the Extension Summary report are:

Show report parameters on 1st page: If you select this check box, then a header page for a report will be created. This page displays the options selected, filters, and other settings that went into making up the report.

Show unassigned calls only: Unassigned calls are those calls that have been processed but couldn't be matched with the person who placed or received a call. By checking this box, a report will display only those records that are not assigned to a user.

Tandem calls: Include combined calls, exclude original calls: If you select this check box, then the report will include regular calls not subject to reconciliation as well as the combined calls created by the reconciliation. The calls used to create the combined matched calls will be excluded from the report.

Note: This option appears only if the Call Reconciliation option is turned on.

Use extension location instead of data source: If you click this check box, the location specified in the Extension Location database will be included in the report.

Layout Tab

At the Layout tab, the options available will not be the same from one report type to another. Only those options that apply to the selected report will appear. The options available with an Extension Summary report are:

Page Break: This list box contains a list of grouping levels. When you select a level, you specify on which grouping level to force a page break. The following page break choices are available with an Extension Summary report:

Report Details

The columns of an Extension Summary report are:

Extension: This column lists which extension placed the call.

Total Section

Count: This column shows the number of all calls.

Duration (HH:MM): This column contains the length of time of all calls.

Cost: This column shows the cost of all calls.

Inbound Section

Count: This column shows the number of inbound calls.

Duration (HH:MM): This column contains the length of time of inbound calls.

Cost: This column shows the cost of inbound calls.

Local Section

Count: This column shows the number of local calls.

Duration (HH:MM): This column contains the length of time of local calls.

Cost: This column shows the cost of local calls.

Long Distance Section

Count: This column shows the number of long distance calls.

Duration (HH:MM): This column contains the length of time of long distance calls.

Cost: This column shows the cost of long distance calls.

All Others Section

Count: This column shows the number of other types of calls.

Cost: This column shows the cost of other types of calls.
