Required Constraints Tab

At the Required Constraints tab, specify the date and time settings for the report.

Additional Constraints Tab

At the Additional Constraints tab, the default constraints for a Traffic Analysis - Erlang B report are:

• Company Code

• Company Name

• Cost Center Code

• Cost Center Name

• Department Code

• Department Name

• Division Code

• Division Name

• Duration

• Filename

• Receive

• Sender

• Status

Click the Add Additional Constraints list box to include more constraints in your search criteria.

Options Tab

At the Options tab, the options available will not be the same from one report type to another. Only those options that apply to the selected report will appear. The option available with the  Traffic Analysis - Erlang B report is:

Show report parameters on 1st page: If you select this check box, then a header page for a report will be created.  This page displays the options selected, filters, and other settings that went into making up the report.

Layout Tab

At the Layout tab, the options available will not be the same from one report type to another. Only those options that apply to the selected report will appear. The option available with a Traffic Analysis - Erlang B report is:

Page Break: This list box contains a list of grouping levels. When you select a level, you specify on which grouping level to force a page break. The following page break choices are available with a Traffic Analysis - Erlang B report:

• No forced page breaks

• Data Source Name

• Facility Name

The Traffic Analysis - Erlang B report contains the columns listed below:

Date: This column contains the day and date of the week.

Facility: This area displays the facility name and its default Grade of Service.

Busy Hour: This column contains the calculated busy hour for that facility for that day. The times displayed are in 24-hour format.

Inbound Calls: This column contains the number of inbound calls at the busy hour.

Outbound Calls: This column contains the number of outbound calls at the busy hour.

Other Calls: This column contains the number of other (usually tandem) calls at the busy hour.

Out-Blocked (Equipment Failure): This column contains the total number of blocked calls at the busy hour due to equipment failure.

Out-Blocked (No Trunks): This column contains the total number of blocked calls at the busy hour due to trunks being not available.

Trunks Configured.: This column contains the total number of trunk members for that facility. This figure is taken from the Trunks database.

Trunks Optimal: This column contains the Erlang B calculation of the number of trunks required at the busy hour using the Grade of Service defined in the Trunks database.

Net: The net number of trunks is derived by subtracting the configured trunks from the optimal trunks:
