Usage Exception Report by Directory

The Usage Exception Report by Directory helps managers get a quick overview of people or organizational levels that fail to meet or exceed specific thresholds. In a Directory-based Usage Exception report, the thresholds for a person or an organizational level are set in the Directory database.

Formatting Options

Required Constraints Tab

At the Required Constraints tab, specify the date settings for the report.

Note: Time settings are controlled by the report.

Additional Constraints Tab

At the Additional Constraints tab, the default constraints for a Usage Exception Report by Directory report are:

Each organizational level you defined when installing the product
Data Source

Click the Add Additional Constraints list box to include more constraints in your search criteria.

Options Tab

At the Options tab, the options available will not be the same from one report type to another. Only those options that apply to the selected report will appear. The options available with a Usage Exception Report by Directory report are:

Group by Code instead of Name: This check box controls how organizational reports are organized. If it is selected, grouping is done by organization code. If the check box is not selected, grouping is done by organization name.

Show report parameters on 1st page: If you select this check box, then a header page for a report will be created. This page displays the options selected, filters, and other settings that went into making up the report.

Layout Tab

At the Layout tab, the options available will not be the same from one report type to another. Only those options that apply to the selected report will appear. The option available with a Usage Exception Report by Directory report us:

Page Break: This list box contains a list of grouping levels. When you select a level, you specify on which grouping level to force a page break. The following page break choices are available with a Usage Exception Report by Directory report:

No forced page breaks
Each organizational level you defined when installing the product
Owner Name

Report Details

Threshold: This column contains organizational level information and the exceptions that thresholds were set for.

Target: This column contains the exception level for the threshold that was set in the Directory database.

Actual: This column contains the observed exception level for the threshold.
